Screening Exercise for Gifted Education Programme (GEP) • This exercise is carried out to identify pupils with high intellectual potential • Pupils are identified for the GEP through a two-stage exercise in Primary 3. • First stage : 23 Aug 2019 • Only selected pupils will go for second stage (to be held on 15 and 16 Oct)

Reporting Time • Lessons start at 8.00 am • Strongly encouraged to be in school by 7.45am. • Morning assembly starts at 7.50am. • Pre-assembly programmes for pupils who arrive in school from 7.30am.

SNACK TIME! What parents can do : Prepare snacks for your child or get him/her to buy the snacks from the canteen Remember that they would need 2 snacks on Tuesday. (One for the morning snack break and another break will be given during CCA)
Absence Absence from any school events needs to be validated with an MC or a letter from the parent. This includes: School days and CCA sessions • Remedial / Supplementary lessons • Learning journeys •
Leave of absence during Term time • The school does not encourage pupils to be away during term time • We do not grant leave for pupils to go for family vacations/ functions during term time • Parents must write to the Principal to seek approval.

Partnership With Parents Safety and Image: • Monitoring of pupils’ whereabouts after school • Pupils should not be loitering around playgrounds, void decks or shopping centres
Partnership With Parents Social Media • Close monitoring is necessary Forms of media: SMS, Whatsapp, Facebook, websites, e-mail, online chats, blogs, etc. Parents are encouraged to be vigilant as children are becoming more tech-savvy, and inappropriate materials can be easily accessed through social media.
CCE family Time in CCE lesson
Home-School-Community Partnership in CCE CCE lessons will feature a segment on “Family Time” which provides suggestions for activities that allow parents to bond with their children and support CCE. The lessons will also suggest activities for Values-In-Action (VIA) which can be carried out as a family.
How to support your child’s Learning at home Out-of-School Enrichment activities should be scheduled around what works best for each child and in moderation. Provide a structure - play-time, homework time, reading time Read with your children ; expose them to a variety of topics Get them to share their learning experiences in school
