Morning Assembly • Pupils are to remain at the canteen or bus bay when they report to school before 7.15am. • At 7.15am, a chime will be played – signal for pupils to proceed to the hall. • By 7.20am, pupils are to be seated in the hall for QUIET TIME. Pupils should read a book while waiting for assembly to start.

  8. Latecoming • Morning assembly will start at 7.30 am. • Pupils who come after 7.30 am are considered late. • Persistent latecomers will be issued with a warning letter .

  9. Recess Assembly • Pupils should stop playing and proceed to the assembly area 5 minutes before end of recess (first chime). • Pupils to sit down quietly in twos and wait for their subject teacher.

Cultivating Good Habits for Life through Everyday Responsibilities Dail ily y Cleaning eaning @ S SAPS P1 & P2 All Levels 5 minutes before recess 9.10 a.m. (P1) and 9.40 a.m. (P2) Class Duties • Duty Roster monitored by Class Committee and reinforced by P3 – P6 teachers Last 5 minutes of the day • immediately after dismissal prayer After Snack Time / Recess • to reinforce the ‘T’ in STAR (Tidiness) • P3s to P6s can only leave their classrooms at 1.45 p.m. after cleaning up. • Teachers will take P1s and P2s to their respective dismissal points after the prayer to wait for dismissal at 1.45 p.m.

  11. Dismissal • School ends at 1.45 p.m. daily. If your child is going home by foot, please wait for her/him at the side gate of the Entrance / Exit. • Street 32 is known as the Entrance • Street 34 is known as the Exit • Please do not change your child’s mode of transport. • Please be punctual to pick up your child .

  12. School Attire • The school tie must be worn every day for assembly with the school uniform unless pupils have PE or Get Active! on that day. • Pupils may remove their tie when they reach the classroom. • For the school PE attire, the polo T-shirt must be tucked in.

  13. School Attire • Only school socks or plain white socks without any label or logo are allowed to be worn with white canvas shoes. Socks must cover the ankle. • Nametags must be sewn above the school crest on all shirts/blouses/PE attire. New nametags can be ordered from the school bookshop.

  14. General Appearance • Hair must be neat. No fancy haircut allowed. • Only a small pair round ear-studs or earrings are allowed for girls. • Hair accessories must be black.

  15. Handphones • Handphones must be switched off during school hours. • Must seek permission of teachers to use phone after school for necessary calls/messages. • Handphones should not be used for playing games or listening to music. • Consequence for misuse of handphones – It will be confiscated and parents have to come to school to claim it personally from the General Office.

  16. Traffic Management – Dropping off/Picking Up • At Vehicle Drop-Off Point • 1.45 p.m.: School buses will leave first (Reason: To reduce traffic congestion and inconvenience to all) • 2.00 p.m. onwards: Parents who are driving, can drive in to school to pick up their child(ren) during normal and wet weathers.

  17. IMPORTANT NOTICE Parking on the roads outside the school main gate is a traffic offence.

  26. WHEN YOUR CHILD IS UNWELL

If your child is absent… Please inform the Form Teacher of your child’s • condition and the duration of his/her medical leave. • Do submit either a medical certificate and/or a letter that explains your child’s absence. The document(s) should be submitted when your child returns to school. The purpose of this arrangement is to prevent truancy. • A medical certificate is required when your child is absent for any assessment. .

  28. If your child is absent… • Any child with symptoms of infectious disease (e.g. HFMD, Chicken Pox) must stay at home until all the blisters dry up and the MC given expires.
