Mission of the PTA Advocacy for our children and involvement in our schools 2018-2019 JES PTA Goals: • To provide numerous and varied volunteer opportunities, including an increased number of opportunities for working parents. • To support and encourage STEAM learning at JES. 2017-2018 Audit • Books and records were found to be correct • PTA Membership: Membership dues collected should be remitted to the state PTA each month. • Bank Reconciliations: Ensure that bank reconciliations are performed within 30 days of receiving the bank statement, and that all are signed and dated. Continue to clear out checks that are outstanding for > 1 year. • Deposits: Ensure that all deposits have supporting documentation. Ensure that deposits are made within 1 week of receipt of funds. • Disbursements: No recommendations; current practice is effective • Specific Purpose: No recommendations; current practice is effective

Volunteering at JES Annual Mandatory BCPS Training is online. • Required for all in-school and field trip volunteers • Send VOLUNTEER APPLICATION and ONLINE TRAINING • COMPLETION CERTIFICATE to JES office.
