In your own words, why are you running for the NCSEA Board? I have been active in NCSEA since joining the Child Support Program in 2015. I applied and was accepted into the NCSEA-U class of 2015, and I have volunteered to serve on various committees since that time. I am running for the NCSEA Board so that I may use my experiences working in other programs and building partnerships across programs to serve NCSEA in a higher capacity. I am also running for the board so that I may continue to grow as a leader in my profession and community. 4
Describe what you will do to advance NCSEA as an organization • Encourage my team members to become active in NCSEA. • Encourage and lead the way for more outreach and involvement with child support program stakeholders, such as State Bar Associations, the American Bar Association, Access to Justice Associations, judiciaries, legislators, child welfare leaders, and SNAP/TANF/Medicaid leaders to continue to build cross-collaborative networks and educate others on the organization and the child support program. • Develop more effective methods of communication, such as data dashboards that members, legislators, and other policy makers can access easily to see national and state specific child support data that coordinates with topics highlighted in NCSEA publications. 5
Describe your vision on how you would help shape the future of child support The child support program is only one piece of the puzzle that helps families succeed. My vision to is to truly improve collaboration amongst various stakeholders who impact the child support program and families that are served by the program. I envision technology that would allow resources to be better connected so that families have easier access to the tools and services they need to improve their lives. I believe this can be accomplished through partnerships that focus on maximizing existing resources and communicating on how to connect those resources to better serve families rather than duplicating services amongst programs. 6
