In your own words, why are you running for the NCSEA Board? I believe in the NCSEA mission: To serve child support professionals, agencies and strategic partners worldwide through professional development, communications, public awareness and advocacy to enhance the financial, medical and emotional support that parents provide for their children. I have amassed a repository of contacts and resources to develop child support professionals, promote public awareness and advocate for parents and children I am a proponent and an example of how the public/private partnership delivers value by helping public partners improve federal performance outcomes and enhance their customer’s experience. I desire to work with other knowledgeable and passionate child support professionals who find it difficult to ignore problems that challenge program performance and outcomes for children. 4
Describe what you will do to advance NCSEA as an organization Promote innovation to ensure that Child Support keeps pace with technological and economic changes. Encourage the federal program and states to adopt Lean Principles to improve performance, quality and customer service. Team with applicable agencies to avoid fraud, waste and abuse by teaming with Child Support and utilizing existing tools to identify improper payments and recover overpayments of benefits . Share best practices, solutions and technological advances from across the country that should be considered as program standards 5
Describe your vision on how you would help shape the future of child support I envision a future where every child has a legal father; every custodial parent receives their monthly ordered child support; barriers are removed for non-custodial parents to willingly comply; other agencies benefit from the Child Support Program’s efficiency and effectiveness; and taxpayers recognize the value of the Child Support Program. 6
