In your own words, why are you running for the NCSEA Board? • Ensure that employers and state agencies are collaborating on initiatives for the benefit of families, state agencies and employers. • The partnership between employers and state child support agencies is critical to the success of the child support programs. • Voice of the employer to the NCSEA Board and share perspectives as we look at opportunities to work together. • Passion for the child support programs and the benefits they provide. • Sharing the employer perspective can better assist the NCSEA Board and Organization as they plan their focus and initiatives in the coming years. • Bring awareness to employers regarding key items through the various opportunities I have to work with the employer community. • Leverage this opportunity to seek mutual alignment to the best possible outcome. • Helping to educate others, as well as constantly seeking new knowledge. 4
Describe what you will do to advance NCSEA as an organization • Ambassador for NCSEA to employers, families and other child support professionals. • Contribute to the various initiatives and needs of the Board and Committees. • Share the employer’s perspective as they relate to child support processing and programs. • Share challenges and opportunities to collaborate towards positive solutions when dealing with child support related functions (i.e. lump sum reporting, verification of employments, medical support, electronic payments). • Assist to build the knowledge of others as well as myself. • Build relationships and bring people together. • Promote awareness of the NCSEA organization, our conferences and the overall benefits. • Share the NCSEA message and updates at the employer symposiums. 5
Describe your vision on how you would help shape the future of child support • Encourage more employer participation and attendance at NCSEA conferences to gain knowledge. • Communication to share best practices and ideas. • Support new initiatives and areas of focus to create strong partnerships and improve efficiencies. • Increase focus of streamlining of processes (i.e. lump sum reporting) to assist in maximizing efficiencies, while minimizing manual processing for both employers and state agencies. • Encourage mutual collaboration between states and employers focused on early, proactive communication. • Assist employers in understanding the benefit and value to the child support programs when we timely report lump sums, verification of employments, and respond to inquiries. 6
