Changed the language to require Contractor to maintain the roadway including potholes and added other pavement deficiencies. • 614.03 ‐ Traffic Control General – Added Conspicuity requirements for project vehicles 9

Conflicting markings ‐ • Deleted the Removal Method Table and replaced with verbiage describing acceptable pavement marking removal methods. • 614.14 ‐ Performance – Identify all pavement deficiencies within the work area. Repair deficiencies as soon as possible and within 24 hours from notice of the deficiency . 622 CONCRETE BARRIER • 622.04 – Portable barrier – Portable concrete barrier is now portable barrier to allow for steel barrier. The Contractor may substitute approved proprietary portable barrier products which can be found on the Office of Roadway Engineering’s website. • 622.09 ‐ Basis of payment – Added pay item unit and description for reinforced end anchorages and end sections. 10
3/13/2013 630 TRAFFIC SIGNS AND SIGN SUPPORTS 630.07 ‐ Sign erection • – Added “Mount overhead signs so that the bottom of the signs are in a level position regardless of the sag of supporting messenger wire, mast arm rise, chord member or overpass slope. 630.12 ‐ Removal and delivery, storage, re ‐ • erection, or disposal of signs and supports – Signs and Sign Supports can now either be stored on the project or delivered to a facility for ODOT usage . 631 SIGN LIGHTING AND ELECTRICAL SIGNS 631.10 ‐ Removal • – Sign Lighting and Electrical Signs now become the property of the Contractor. 11
3/13/2013 632 TRAFFIC SIGNAL EQUIPMENT 632.11 ‐ Detector loops • – Conform to all applicable state and local nuisance dust regulations while saw cutting. 632.225 ‐ Tether wire • – Modified that tether wire shall be those shown in the appropriate Plan Insert Sheet or Standard Construction Drawing and include pole clamps, anchor shackles, S ‐ hooks yielding element, thimbles, turnbuckles, guy grips, wire rope clips, backup ties, lock wire, safety tie wires, and signal head tether anchors and extenders. 632 TRAFFIC SIGNAL EQUIPMENT 632.25 ‐ Covering of vehicular and pedestrian • signal heads – Added language that use of cover materials are specifically made for use with traffic signals, and ensure that the color of the cover is different than the signal head, tan or beige, so that it is clear to drivers and pedestrians the heads are covered, not dark. Also covers are to be free of text, pictures or any type of advertising. 632.28 ‐ Testing • – Added verbiage to section F (function test) that ODOT specifications must now require vehicle stop bar detectors pick up motorcycles and bicycles. 12
3/13/2013 633 TRAFFIC SIGNAL CONTROLLERS • 633.03 ‐ Materials and equipment – Add language for the warranty items, that a sticker with the manufacturing date (determined by serial number) within one (1) year of the date of shipment to the project is displayed to easily determine when the warranty has expired. 648 SPRAY THERMOPLASTIC PAVEMENT MARKING • Moved Supplemental Spec 817 and 917 into the book 13
