  8. Cards and Notes of Encouragement During this time of social distancing those in nursing homes, rehab centers and our homebound feel very lonely. Won’t you take a moment to send them a card or note of encouragement to let them know they are being thought of.

  9. As a reminder, we are not passing the offering plate during worship service. However, tithes and offerings may be placed in the offering box located in the vestibule, mailed to the church, placed in the “IN” box outside the church office, or you may contribute online.

  11. Letters for Deacon Nominations will be sent out this week. Those who have an email address, please look for your letter to be sent by email. If you do not have an email address one will be mailed to you through USPS. You may also pick up a copy at the church office later in the week.

  12. We collected $935 for the Baptist Children’s Homes Food Roundup during the month of September! Youth Outing Saturday, March 24 PNC Arena

  13. We collected $570 for the North Carolina State Mission Offering during the month of September

  14. MAKE A DIFFERENCE! Volunteer at Central Regional Hospital Assisting Patients with Absentee Ballot Voting. Training, Screening and PPE provided.   16. Operation Christmas Child Has Begun Children all over the world are counting on us to send the love of Christ “in a shoebox.” Boxes are available in the Office Hallway and Vestibule. You can also call the Church Office and one can be placed at the entry for you to pick up. More information is available on our website under Mission Support.

  20. Donations to the Butner Food Pantry can be made at the pantry on Tuesdays from 1:30-3:00 p.m. or Wednesdays from 5:00- 6:00 p.m. We will also collect items at the church office during regular office hours. A list of food needed is on the next slide.

  22. September Pantry Summary 9 New Family Assisted 40 Families Served (152 people) Cost was just shy of $3,000 September was the busiest month in over 6 years, towering above all. The cost of food dispensed is roughly triple the pre-pandemic baseline.
