  2. Elementary Virtual Learning Goals ● Provide students the same content whether at school or at home. ● Content continuity: Utilize in-house curriculum that creates consistency with virtual and face-to-face ● Provide for easy transitions between virtual and face-to-face ● Establish common assessments for virtual & face-to-face learners and follow district grading guidelines. ● Partnership with Home Facilitator to follow a recommended daily schedule for students. ● Required daily one-to-one check-ins and weekly group check-ins using Google Meet. ● Dedicate personnel whose only responsibility will be teaching virtual students assigning content, monitoring progress, student feedback, virtual meetings, home visits, etc.

  3. What Families Can Expect ● All VL courses will be asynchronous (self-paced student work) with some instruction face-to-face, and small/large groups. ○ This will allow time for independent and collaborative student work with teacher support. Student/Home Facilitator can anticipate a full school day of ● instruction and “school work” just as if in person. Student/Home Facilitator will receive training prior to VL ● instruction starting A recommended daily schedule will be posted. ● ● Daily one-on-one meetings with virtual teacher, as well as small/large group meetings utilizing Google Meet.

  6. Seesaw Seesaw is a platform for student engagement. Teachers can empower students to create, reflect, share, and collaborate. Students “show what they know” using photos, videos, drawings, files, links and more. It’s simple to get student work in one place and share with families! Families will download the free Seesaw Family app, create an account and connect to their child’s journal. Families with receive an invite code from their child’s teacher to connect.

  7. Google Classroom Google Classroom makes teaching more productive and meaningful by streamlining assignments, boosting collaboration, and fostering communication. Educators can create classes, distribute assignments, send feedback, and see everything in one place. 18. FACE-TO-FACE GUIDELINES 2020-2021

  19. Face-to-Face Guidelines TEA’s recommendations are that as many students as possible be a car rider, or ● walk to school. This will assist us with the ability to transport students who have no other ○ mode of transportation. Students who ride the bus will be required to hand-sanitize and wear a mask upon ● entering the bus. PK-5 students will: ● Be required to wear a face covering in common areas ○ Remove their face covering while eating ○ Remove their face covering while in their homeroom engaged in instruction ○ 6-12 students will be required to wear a face covering at all times except while ● eating. PK-5 students will be sent to their classroom immediately upon entering the ● building after hand sanitizing. 6-12 students will report immediately to their assigned designated area after hand ● sanitizing. Hallways will be divided to promote social distancing ● Hand sanitizer will be used upon entering each classroom. ●

  20. Face-to-Face Guidelines ● Rooms will be arranged to keep students as safe as possible. ● Will strive to maintain 6 foot social distancing when possible/will not always be physically doable. Goal at PK-5 is to create an environment where a family unit is established at ● school; therefore, PK-5 will be self-contained for all grade levels ● K-5 will not be required to wear a mask when they are in their classroom with their school family unit . For PK-5 Specials will be going into classrooms to conduct their instruction ● For PK-5 Recess zones will be created around the school to keep classes separated ● PK-5 Lunch will be in the cafeteria and gymnasium ● 6-12 students will utilize multiple spaces for eating areas ● Socially distancing as much as possible ○ Possible implementation of dividers- looking at difgerent options ○ Due to COVID visitors to campuses will be very limited. ● No visitors will be allowed to eat lunch with their student ○ At this time no parties or field trips ○ Designated holding areas and extensive screening will be required for visitors ○ when necessary
