InView � InView™ is an assessment of cognitive abilities that measures the skills and abilities most related to academic success. The InView™ is comprised of five subtests that assess the following cognitive areas: � Sequences & Analogies � Quantitative Reasoning � Verbal Reasoning (Words) � Verbal Reasoning (Context) Each subtest takes approximately 25 minutes to complete.
Measures of Academic Progress Reading & Mathematics � Administered in the fall, winter, and spring. Fall: 9/6- 10/28 Winter: 1/9 – 3/3 Spring: 4/3 – 6/9 Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) assessments are a collection of computerized adaptive tests that measures student achievement and growth over time. MAP uses a RIT scale to measure student achievement and student growth. RIT is an equal-interval score, and can range from 150 to 300. Understanding Your Child’s MAP Report
PARCC Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers � The PARCC assessments serve as an "educational GPS system," assessing students' current performance, and pointing the way to what students need to learn to be ready for the next grade level and, by high school graduation, for college and/or a career. PARCC dates: 5/1/17 – 6/2/17 Administered in both Reading and Math Aligned to the Common Core State Standards
MISA Maryland Integrated Science Assessment every spring. The Maryland Integrated Science Assessment is administered to all students in Gr. 5 and Gr. 8 � First administered in the 2016-17 school year, and replaces the former Maryland School � Assessment (MSA) in science. The test is made up of four “units.” In each of the first three units, students will read � information about three separate phenomena and answer questions about each. One of those questions will be a constructed response question, and the other questions will be a combination of multiple choice, fill-in-the-blank, matching, and other technology-enabled item types. Units 1–3 � � 3 tasks in each, which are based on scientific phenomena � 1 constructed response question for each task � 5 other types of questions for each task Unit 4 � � 1 task similar to those in units 1–3 � 1 extended task that may include a simulation
ESOL Assessment - WIDA (World Class Instructional Design & Assessment) � Measures the development of the English language proficiency skills of English language learners (ELL) in grades K-12 on an annual basis within the 4 domain: Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing. � The primary purpose of this assessment is to measure English proficiency growth tied to the criteria of the WIDA Consortium’s English language Proficiency Standards. � Standards are aligned to the academic content areas. � Mid January thru Mid February � All ELL students identified as ELL take this test.
