Post Meter Exchange Phase (Legacy) • Text for letter for the Legacy Exchange Meters LEMs ESB Networks became aware that there was a potential recording accuracy issue with one of its electricity meter types (Model: Ampy) in late 2016. We immediately commenced an exchange programme of all 27,000 meters of this type. The exchanged meters were tested and recording accuracy was found to be a problem in 2.5% of them. However our records show that a meter of this type was previously exchanged at your address on ………….. Having now reviewed your consumption/usage records and compared these with the records for the Ampy meter which was removed on ………….. we estimate, in your case, the number of units over -recorded to be XXX. ESB Networks has advised your supplier of the units to be credited and these will be reflected on your electricity account in due course. Meter accuracy is extremely important to us and it is essential that you have confidence in the electricity meter. We apologise for any inconvenience this meter recording accuracy issue may have caused you. There is no action required on your part but if you have any questions on this please do not hesitate to contact us on ……………………… .. Yours sincerely, Seamus Gray | Manager, Metering Database Services | ESB Networks T: +353 61 430443 / +353 87 2267681 | www.esb.ie • Issue to sample of 20 people first • File of 400 identified has been prepped and is ready to send to Suppliers 4 Footer esbnetworks.ie
