Buil uildin ing a a Good L d Life ife in in Community FACTS (at start of transition – September 2014)  Impact 97 people (ages mid-30’s to mid-70’s)  47 people attended sheltered workshop location  15 people employed at high school cafeterias  7 people employed at Recycling Depot;  28 people in unique compensation arrangements  No person earning competitive wage!!! 19

Buil uildin ing a a Good L d Life ife in in Community First year of transition:  6 people hired at Chartwell Foods  2 people hired at Soo Minor Baseball Association  3 people hired at Canadian Tire  6 people hired at Community Living Algoma  5 people hired at The Recycling Depot  5 people contracted to work at Ministry of Natural Resources  3 summer jobs for youth – first-time initiative  ALL JOBS NOTED ABOVE PAID COMPETITIVE WAGES!!!! 20
