  3. YEAR 10 2019 • All students MUST pass their Core subjects English Mathematics Science History • Subjects in RED lead to General Subjects in Years 11 and 12. Subjects in GREEN lead to Applied or VET subjects. General subjects lead to an ATAR.

  4. YEAR 10 2019 COMPULSORY SUBJECTS – For Full Year  English OR Essential English  Mathematics OR Mathematical Methods OR Essential Mathematics  Science Students can choose from the following: Science (Semester One and/or Semester Two) Biology (for a Semester only) Chemistry (for a Semester only) Physics (for a Semester only) Science Foundation (for two Semesters)

  5. YEAR 10 2019 COMPULSORY SUBJECT - For One Semester Students can choose between: Ancient History OR Modern History OR History Foundation

  6. YEAR 10 2019 ELECTIVES – Full Year Electives All Academy Programs are offered for the full year: • Academy Dance • Academy Drama • Academy Music • Academy Visual Art • Academy Japanese • Sports Academy

  11. Students go online and log onto SETP My Education Plan • At HOME via HSHS website: Curriculum  Subjects Click on this Link

  12. Click here

  13. Click on Subject Selection then Edit

  14. Select relevant year group

  15. Follow the instructions on the screen and click on relevant subjects. Mandatory KLAs for years 9 and 10 subjects must be selected to enable saving

  16. Click on Available Reports to bring up the printable document

  17. Click on print a copy and check details are as selected and parent / guardian is to sign form before returning it to Futures teacher

  18. TIMELINES S Access to Subject Selection will commence on 27 August Signed printout of subject selection form is due back to Futures teacher by no later than 7 September
