Welcome to Noblesville East Middle School! Our Mission NEMS ensures student-centered learning that seamlessly integrates inquiry, 21st century skills, and technology through an interdisciplinary, authentic approach. Our Purpose for Tonight:

Our Middle School Program Teaming @ NEMS • Promotes a sense of belonging • Facilitates stronger relationships and rapport • Makes a larger school feel smaller and more welcoming • Provides a structure that allows staff to better know and meet the academic, social, and emotional needs of students

Our Middle School Program Teaming @ NEMS • Four teams: DePauw, Stanford, West Point, and Wisconsin • Math, Language Arts, Science, Social Studies, Special Education (one teacher designated as "team leader") • Counselor and administrator assigned to each, teams provided weekly collaboration time to focus on student needs • Students assigned randomly • No teacher/team requests please!

Important Information About Our Day • Doors unlocked at 7:00 am, supervision is provided until 7:20 am in our cafe • Students may only be dropped off in the car zone (more detail to be sent on drop off instructions) • Bus information will be sent to you by the district this summer • Student day is 7:35 - 2:35, buses leave no later than 2:45 each day • Nurse, lunch, attendance, appointments, and other important FAQs will be addressed through upcoming newsletters. Information is also on our school website.

  13. iPads @ NEMS • Same district-created Apple ID and password • Email and Canvas passwords will be provided at start of the year • App Store will be removed from iPads next year, replaced with district “app store” • iPads will be provided along with Digital Citizenship training the first week of school • Personal iPad is still an option, will be reconfigured to district profile
