Rules in Development • The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) promulgated the Hazardous Waste Generator Improvements Rule on May 30, 2017, • The Safe Management of Recalled Airbags on November 30, 2018. • The Management Standards for Hazardous Waste Pharmaceuticals and Amendment to the P075 Listing for Nicotine on August 21, 2019.

  3. Rules in Development All three rules need to be incorporated into the Department’s Hazardous Waste Rules under Title 10, Division 25. Eight of the rules in Chapters 3, 4, 5, 7, 11, 12, and 16 will need to be amended.

  6. Schedule • Plan to have stakeholder meetings in late 2019 and early 2020. • Typically have two (2) meetings. • Rule effective April 2021.

  7. Methodology • We will use a basecamp site for the collection and housing of rulemaking information. • Sign up for the basecamp site by emailing SWMPRules@dnr.mo.gov

  8. Methodology • Equivalency demonstrations to the EPA for provisions that deviate from the federal rule.
