  2. Training and Development Course Overview This course improves the effectiveness of the participants’ abilities to deliver a presentation with confidence. It provides not only the skills need to make an impact but boosts the confidence of the delegates which is so critical for a top notch presentation. Regardless of the level of skills and existing knowledge of the participants, he or she will come out of the course confident that he or she will be able to face any audience and deliver a strong message. Course Content The course covers different tools that one can use to, prepare, structure and deliver a presentation. It shall deal with all aspects of the presentation including the subject matter of the presentation, the sources of information, the context within which it shall be delivered, the audience and how to retain attention and make an impact. Course objectives  To help the participants understand the importance of good presentations for a successful career.  To assist the participants acknowledges the challenges and the rewards of good presentations.  To acquire the skills to prepare for a presentation, including conducting research and obtaining expert knowledge about the subject.  To appreciate the importance of knowing your audience and to prepare accordingly.  To learn to make effective introductions and strong conclusions.  To acquire the ability to be successful by making the best use of presentations and enjoying the adventure.   3. Training and Development Who is it for? The course is a must for anyone who wants to succeed in his or her career. It helps the participants build the confidence needed by anyone who leads others and needs to get things done whether working on a project or making a sales pitch. Executive and managers have no choice in whether to have or not this skill. They need it from the word go in the role. Pre-requisites The only pre-requisite is for the participants to be willing to stretch their abilities and enjoy a short trip of self-discovery. About the Trainer Joe Gerada is currently a freelance Management Consultant and CIPD trainer for organisations in Malta and abroad. He held CEO positions in a number of State organizations including the ETC, APPOGG and Sedqa as well as senior positions in the private sector namely; CEO of the FHRD and was also the Group HR Manager for the Island Hotels Group. He is a former President of the Social Cohesion Committee of the Council of Europe and consulted for the Committee of the Regions of the European Commission. Trained in Management at Cranfield University UK and the School of Management at the University of Singapore, he also holds a Masters’ degree in Mediation from the Institute Universitaire Kurt Bosh Switzerland. Joe Gerada is a Fellow member of the Chartered Institute for Personnel Development UK and an accredited Management Trainer from CIPD.
