Review and discuss: • Training needs to be consistent with the IEP • Other related issues (e.g., workplace safety) • Time keeping requirements • That host agencies may receive a Customer Satisfaction Survey from the DOL • Temporary nature of the program and participant assignment, which is based on the IEP 11
Training Site Development “Enhance & expand” Maintenance of Effort Assignment of participant(s) must not: • Displace existing workers • Decrease existing contracts for services o Reduce employee hours o Reduce employment benefits o Lay off employees or require participant(s) to perform work of laid-off persons • Result in substituting federal funds for other funds in connection with work that would otherwise be performed 12
Training Site Development Churches • No Religious instruction or worship • No Construction, operation or maintenance of a facility used for religious instruction or worship • No Services for church members only • YES Services for the general community, such as food bank, shelter, soup kitchen, day care, thrift shop, etc. 13
