This presentation is for the project on US 10 and WIS 65 in the village of Ellsworth, Pierce County. Rather than holding an in-person meeting, public involvement efforts have moved online as a precaution against COVID-19 based on the most current health information from state, federal and local health departments. Purpose and Need • Purpose Improve US 10 and WIS 65 pavement condition Improve truck turning at the US 10 and WIS 65 intersection Upgrade curb ramps to meet current standards • Need Deteriorating pavement condition Conflicting truck turning movements at the US 10 and WIS 65 intersection Non-compliant curb ramps
Proposed Improvements • Resurface US 10 with asphalt pavement • Mill and resurface WIS 65 with asphalt pavment • Realign left-turn lanes at US 10 and WIS 65 intersection • Upgrade curb ramps • Replace pavement marking
Proposed Construction Staging • 2021 construction season (June-October) • Open to traffic • Single-lane closures through flagging operations • Pedestrian detours during curb ramp replacement
