Who is eligible? • This is not an annual award; it should only be awarded occasionally to a truly Outstanding Virginian. • The nominee must be a resident of Virginia but not necessarily a member of The American Legion Auxiliary. • The nominee should be one who is well-known generally on a statewide basis and must be highly respected in their field of endeavor and as a citizen. • The award will be based upon special accomplishments that fall within the aims and purposes of The American Legion Auxiliary.
