"Embracing The Biblical Beauty of Womanhood" Genesis 1: 18-25
God wants all women to embrace the beauty of His design when He created you.
There are at least three roles that are gender specific in God’s creative plan for women. Each of them are highlighted and celebrated in the earliest paces of Genesis.
What makes women beautiful to God?
I. God Made Women The Crown Of Creation (v.21).
The last thing God created was a woman.
The creation order reveals that the arrival of women in God’s creative design completed and finalized God’s plan for creation.
Genesis 2:7 says: "Then the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul."
Genesis 2:2-22 says: "So the Lord God causes a deep sleep to fall upon the man, and he slept; then He took one of the ribs and closed up the flesh at that place. The the Lord God fashioned into a woman the rib which was taken from the man. . ."
Adam was saying to the woman: My life was incomplete without you. God was saying that creation was incomplete without you.
Man is more courageous, pugnacious, and energetic than woman, and has a more inventive genius. His brain is absolutely larger. . ." (Darwin 1871a, vol. 2, 316-317 Evolution), Darwin added, caused man to "ultimately become superior to woman. . .[especially] superior in mental endowment to woman" (Darwin 1871a, vol. 2, 328-329)
“...a higher eminence, in whatever he takes up, than can woman—whether requiring deep thought, reason, or imagination, or merely the use of the senses and hands. . .. We may also infer . . . that if men are capable of a decided pre-eminence over women in many subjects, the average of mental power in man must be above that of women (Darwin 1871, 564).
Darwinism denies that women are the crown of creation; yet, Our Creator celebrates it!
II. God Gave Women The Role Of Life- Giver (vv. 24-25).
God created women with the ability to be a scared vessel.
“ For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. ” Psalm 139:13-14
The name “Eve” means: Life-giver
The word “submission” in Ephesians gives the picture of a woman holding up her husband.
III. God Honored Women With The Role Of Christ- Giver (Genesis 3:15).
Two challenges came upon the woman due to sins entrance: a) The challenge in child-birth. b) The challenge in marriage.
