• John 16:25-33 (NIV) • 25 “Though I have been speaking figuratively, a time is coming when I will no longer use this kind of language but will tell you plainly about my Father. 26 In that day you will ask in my name. I am not saying that I will ask the Father on your behalf. 27 No, the Father himself loves you because you have loved me and have believed that I came from God. 28 I came from the Father and entered the world; now I am leaving the world and going back to the Father .”
• 29 Then Jesus’ disciples said, “Now you are speaking clearly and without figures of speech. 30 Now we can see that you know all things and that you do not even need to have anyone ask you questions. This makes us believe that you came from God.” • 31 “Do you now believe?” Jesus replied. 32 “A time is coming and in fact has come when you will be scattered, each to your own home. You will leave me all alone. Yet I am not alone, for my Father is with me. • 33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

• John 16:12-13 (NIV) • 12 “I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear. 13 But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.
• John 12:12-16New International Version (NIV) • Jesus Comes to Jerusalem as King • 12 The next day the great crowd that had come for the festival heard that Jesus was on his way to Jerusalem. 13 They took palm branches and went out to meet him, shouting, • “Hosanna!” • “Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!” • “Blessed is the king of Israel!” • 14 Jesus found a young donkey and sat on it, as it is written: • 15 “Do not be afraid, Daughter Zion; see, your king is coming, seated on a donkey’s colt.” • 16 At first his disciples did not understand all this. Only after Jesus was glorified did they realize that these things had been written about him and that these things had been done to him.
• John 16:31-32 (NIV) • 31 “Do you now believe?” Jesus replied. • 32 “A time is coming and in fact has come when you will be scattered, each to your own home. You will leave me all alone. Yet I am not alone, for my Father is with me.
John 14 • Jesus Promises the Holy Spirit • 15 “If you love me, keep my commands. 16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever — 17 the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. • I know Holy Spirit and he lives in me.
• John 15 The Work of the Holy Spirit • 26 “When the Advocate comes, whom I will send to you from the Father — the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father — he will testify about me. • Jesus will send the Spirit of Truth
• John 16 • 7 But very truly I tell you, it is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you. • 13 But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. • Jesus will send Holy Spirit to you
John 14 • 11 Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the works themselves. 12 Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. 13 And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it. • We can ask for anything in the name of Jesus
• John 15 • 7 If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. 8 This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples. • 16 You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit — fruit that will last and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you. 17 This is my command: Love each other. • Whatever you ask in Jesus’ name the Father will give me.
• John 16 • 23 In that day you will no longer ask me anything. Very truly I tell you, my Father will give you whatever you ask in my name. 24 Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete. • 26 In that day you will ask in my name. I am not saying that I will ask the Father on your behalf. 27 No, the Father himself loves you because you have loved me and have believed that I came from God. 28 I came from the Father and entered the world; now I am leaving the world and going back to the Father .” • Father will give me whatever you ask in Jesus’ name.
• Jesus has overcome the world through his death and resurrection. • John 15: 16 You did not choose me, but I (Jesus) chose you • We live by Grace, believing in Jesus and that he died for everyone to clear our debts. Jesus died for everyone and all their debts, those you meet today, or have met or going to meet. • John 14: 17 But you know him(Holy Spirit), for he lives with you and will be in you. • John 15: 16 but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit — fruit that will last and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you. • We are Jesus’ people, for the people.
