  1. PURPOS E  An early learning hub is designed to ensure there is collaboration and coordination between all early learning and early childhood (prenatal to 8 yrs old) entities in the areas of health, safety, and education

S ERVICE AREA  S erving children and families in Union, Umatilla, and Morrow counties  Approximately 7300 square miles of geography  23 communities  18 school districts  An estimated 10,000 children reside in these three counties.  8,077 of these are considered at-risk  Approximately 50% of these children receive some kind of Early Childhood services  Our goal: to provide services to the other 50%

PRIMAR Y GOALS  Healthy, stable, attached families  Children ready for Kindergarten Children reading at grade level or above by 3 rd grade   Developmental screenings for all children  Reduction in number of children in foster care  Increase number of children receiving adequate dental care

  7. It takes a community to support healthy, stable, and attached families.

  8. Coordinated Referral effort across all 3 counties involved several partners and the goal is to continue to engage partners from all sectors of the community. Web-based referral syst em t hat seeks t o link families t o services • effect ively and efficiently. Once a family submit s an applicat ion t hey will be cont act ed wit hin 2 • business days. Minimal effort s needed on t he part of part ners t o part icipate. •

Allow flex time to take children to Share an Early Learning message visits such as well child, dental, WIC Volunteer regularly for a child or family Implement policies that support service program or provider in your community education, health, safety, or family well-being Invite your employees to coordinate Host, facilitate, or promote and implement a project that supports child and parenting education classes in your community family well-being Sponsor services to unserved children seeking preschool or childcare Support a Blue Mountain Early experiences Learning Hub literacy initiative in your community Include Early Learning or Family Display a “No Wrong Door” logo Friendly resources to new employees or at a and participate in “No Wrong Door” coordinated training referral system
