  9. Working Meeting Update • Final working meeting for general discussion, summaries, and wrap-up • Accommodation Review Committee commenced drafting summary report for inclusion in the final staff report • Committee summary report submitted to board staff on April 17, 2016

  10. Committee Recommendations The committee almost unanimously (with the exception of one member) supports Option C, with the following recommendations: 1. Conduct an attendance area review to expand the boundaries for SCI. 2. Review and adherence of the transportation guidelines. 3. Develop a communication plan to support project. 4. Seek community partnership opportunities that could be housed within SCI. 5. Provide transitional supports for students, parents, and teachers. 6. Plan for additional space for expanded programming at SCI. 7. Preserve the history of Byng PS by salvaging certain physical aspects of the building. 8. Create a new name for Clearview Meadows to represent the coming together of both elementary schools.

  11. Next Steps • Collect feedback from tonight • Staff will complete the Final Staff Report taking into consideration ARC, community, municipal, and all other feedback • Final Staff Report will be submitted to trustees May 6, 2016 and posted publically on May 9, 2016 • A Special Board Meeting will be held May 11, 2016 to discuss the contents of the report • Special Board Meeting for Delegations scheduled for May 24, 2016 • Special Board Decision Meeting scheduled for June 9, 2016

  12. Delegation Process • The Special Board Meeting for Delegations is where the public is invited to present to the Board regarding the Pupil Accommodation Review • All requests to make a delegation must be submitted by 1 p.m. one week prior to the meeting (May 17, 2016) • Request must include copy of your presentation and/or outline of what the presentation will contain • You are allowed up to 10 minutes for your delegation including time for trustees to ask clarification questions • You may make your delegation either by yourself or with one other person • Meetings are open to the public, video-recorded and live streamed • Submit your delegation request to: Lena Robyn, Executive Assistant to the Board lrobyn@scdsb.on.ca 705-734-6363, ext. 11231.
