Plan Summary • Entire Plan Refined � Creates 25 PreK-8 Neighborhood Schools � Adds 2 new Middle Schools (converted from K-06s.) � Places all 06 grades in either Middle Schools or Prek-8 schools. � Eliminates the 07-08 and K-6 school configurations � Proposed Boundaries Mapped (Stage 1 is solid) � Creates 10 Dedicated Schools for Future Program Expansions or Innovations 4

Plan Summary • Plan further refined � Proposals for Boundaries Mapped (Stage 1 is solid) � Projected enrollments based on the verified current year data (rather than the Sept 30 submission to the state). � Accomplished secondary goals of more economical use of facilities and decreasing overcrowding. Ex: • Number of schools needing 3 or more portables went from 32 to 12. • Total number of portables needed by overall plan was reduced by approx. 40. 5
