Leading CPD for Enterprise and Entrepreneurship
The focus on enterprise and entrepreneurship across the Aldridge schools has created a need to develop a comprehensive CPD offer for staff that supports the aspirations of Aldridge Education in equipping all pupils with enterprise skills and entrepreneurial experiences. The focus of the training is two-fold: • To support Aldridge teaching staff in developing the comprehensive knowledge and skills to integrate enterprise skills into teaching and learning • To support professional staff within the Aldridge schools and Aldridge Education (MAT) to build and lead entrepreneurial schools
Running across every Aldridge school the training c ould consist of ‘core’ and ‘optional’ modules: Core modules: • Mandatory for ALL staff; • Underpin the running of the school; • Inform teaching and learning activities; Core modules – are mandatory for all members of • Result in a level of consistency across the MAT in staff at the school to complete. The CPD pilot will launch with a cross- academy cohort of colleagues who will work in clusters from January 2019. Recruited at the discretion of the principal. This initial cohort will work with the Aldridge Institute to co-construct and shape the programme of learning. The CPD programme will be collaboratively designed with staff in a developmental way of working which reflects the Aldridge attributes.
Team Academy will run as a pilot in PACA and will be developed further in DACA in 2019.
The Delivery Team: The design, delivery and evaluation of the training will be led by the Aldridge Institute (based at UWE, Bristol) under the leadership of Professor Gurpreet Jagpal.
