Roles and Responsibilities • Manage bike park crew and ensure the welfare of the crew are taken care of. • Ensure all check in of bicycles, bike tags and Bike Park wrist tags has the same serial number. • At check out, ensure that participants have the Leader same serial number on both wrist tags and bicycle. • Assist to tag participant and their own bike. • Direct participant to available bike rack.

  5. What is Bike Park? • A secured location for participants to park their bike before the event. • The Bike Park will be located at Arena Hall 1. Operation Hours • 10 May 2019 (Fri) & 11 May 2019 (Sat) • 10:00PM to 9:00PM • 12 May 2019 (Sun) • 3:30AM to 12:00PM • From 7:30AM onwards, only collection of bikes and no more storing of bikes thereafter.

Administrative Process – Bicycle Check-In Entry Exit • Ensure that participant’s has a • Verify that the person checking in Wrist Tag before exiting the the bike is a participant and has a Bike park. bib with them. • Ensure that the same Serial Number of the Bike tag & Wrist tag is issued. • Fill in Participant Name and Contact Number on both copies of the tag. Lost Of Wrist Tag • Step 1 Leaders will escalate incident to either venue IC or venue 2IC to assist. • Step 2 Venue IC or 2IC will contact VCC to verify particulars with lost wrist tag. • Step 3 If participants details are accurate as per record, participants will have to fill in a form before releasing the bicycle.

  17. Common Scenario 2 Bike Rental Company • Step 1 - Reject the other bike rental company politely. Only Bicycles from TKH will be parked a our bike park from outset . - • Step 2 Advise the bike rental company to inform customers to park the bicycles personally • Step 3 Normal check in process resume

Administrative Process – Recovered Casualty Bike • Step 1 The route team will deliver the casualty bike to the bike park with a list of all items collected • Step 2 Verify the items recorded on the list and sign to acknowledge. • Step 3 Push the casualty bike to the designated parking area in bike park.

  20. Dos and Don’ts • Do’s - Assist anyone who needs help or direct to the information booth if you are not able to assist him/her. - Stay hydrated. - Tidy up the area before standing down. • Don’ts Handle participants’ bicycles or belongings on their behalf. -

  26. Stand-Down Procedures • Step 1 - Tidy up the area - Check if there are any uncollected bikes in the bike park (Sunday only) • Step 2 If yes, record details of all uncollected bikes (eg. Bike color, bike bib number etc.) (Sunday only) • Step 3 Push all uncollected bikes to logistic store (Sunday only)

FAQ • If a participant comes to you and say that he/she lost their wrist tag, what should you do? • Inform either venue IC or 2IC for assistance • What if a person come with 5 bicycles and wants to park the bike on behalf of his/her friends? What should you do? • Proceed with standard tagging procedure on all bikes and hand all tags to the representative

  30. FAQ • If Route Team comes with the casualties’ bikes and pass you a list of the items collected, what should you do? • Verify the items collected by the Route Team against the form. If items collected are accurate, sign on the form and push the bikes into the designated parking area • If a bike rental company come with 20 bike and say that they want to park the bike on behalf their customer? What should you do? • Reject politely and advise them to inform their customers to park their bicycles personally
