WHY?
BECAUSE... Majority of the app would have a vast display of information but is poorly designed Users have difficulty accessing and pinpointing relevant information quickly There’s a lack of assistance for surfers on tips for recommended spots suitable for their levels and ensure their safety. There’s an absence of outreach to notified users of optimal surf condition which results in missed opportunities to surf.
SO WHAT DO WE DO?
WE CREATED OFFSHORE A optimize surf forecasting app that informs, notifies, and updates surfers about weather and tidal conditions through a minimal, functional, and effective interface that is easy to use and customizable for all types of surfers of varying levels and experience. With Offshore, we handle the small stuff so you can go out and catch the big waves.
Tanks is a lcoally named break in Santa Barbara, California. The locals are pretty rough here, but the 86º surfing generally has very large waves. A once was SUNNY secret spot is now to the public, just be sure to be respectful of the local and beginner surfers.
SCENARIOS: JAMES THE MORNING SURFER James woke up at the crack of dawn with the intention to surf before work. With Offshore notification feature, he was already sent information about ideal surf condition of a nearby break before he woke up. James grabbed his gear and was out the door within minutes.
SCENARIOS: SUSAN CHILLING VACATION Susan is heading down to Costa Rica to enjoy her well-deserved vacation. She was feeling good and stress-free because she has all her suitcases packed in a day advanced and her list of beaches made thanks to Offshore’s weather forecasts and beach rating system.
SCENARIOS: KATY AND THE STORMY NIGHT Katy wanted to go swimming during a particular time at her favorite spot but ended up staying home due to Offshore’s future forecast predicting bad tide. Later she was curled up with her dog inside, drinking hot tea while watching the storm through her window.
