COMMUNICATION & CO ‐ OPERATION Start with Partnership Structure Craft your partnership very carefully with a balanced skill mix, experience and country Develop a partner profile form and strength of information therein e.g. their networks for dissemination & sustainability Local evidence of need Active engagement in preparation and application writing phase ‐ Break down the application into bite ‐ sized pieces
TOP TIPS • Search Erasmus + Results Platform (formally Valor) • Smart Communication Use tools for file sharing, LinkedIn, Skype • Strong leadership and clear deadlines e.g. mandates
BUDGET CONTROL & TIME MANAGEMENT Very clear budget guidance provided – be clear with partners that admin, dissemination, impact evaluation etc is included in project management and NOT IN IOs ! Prepare a budget template in excel with days allocation per IO – researcher, teacher, trainer – clarity from the outset Use distance calculator
TOP TIPS • The Gantt Chart is a powerful tool – use from application to project completion • Demonstrate capacity of lead partner to manage the budget – give evidence • Emphasise use of smart tools
Monitoring progress, quality and achievement of project activities Absolutely critical ‐ clear indicators for all IOs, dissemination, impact Appoint one partner as Internal Evaluator and if budget allows include an External Evaluator Commit to a Quality Management and Evaluation Plan – think through and summarise what this should be – link it to your indicators
