  5. Bioassessment 2019 22 mainstem & 11 tributary stations 1. Assist in Quality Assurance Project Plan development 2. Collect Fish and Macroinvertebrates 3. Complete Qualitative Habitat Evaluation (QHEI) 4. Collect water and sediment samples to be analyzed by lab 5. Collect dissolved oxygen and benthic chlorophyll a 6. Compile and analyze all collected and available data 7. Write report for 2018 & 2019 assessment 8. Need approval to negotiate contract up to $195,000 for MBI

  6. Bioassessment 2019 Expanded Dissolved Oxygen Monitoring 1. Sampling can occur when we have warm/hot conditions with no rain in previous 48 hours and have relatively low flow conditions 2. 4-5 day deployment of DO meters at 7-14 sites based on weather 3. Benthic chlorophyll a samples will be collected 4. 2 rounds of expanded nutrient sampling will occur while DO probes are deployed 5. Samples will be analyzed by First Environmental Labs in Naperville due to shortened hold times for samples 6. This will be completed with a combination of MBI and TCF staff

  8. Bioassessment 2019 Fecal Coliform Sampling 1. Fecal Coliform monitoring requires 5 samples in a 30 day period 2. We will sample Fecal Coliform in each reach listed on the 303(d) list for Fecal Coliform 3. Sampling will begin in late May/early June 4. ETP Labs in Willowbrook will be used due to short hold times 5. Sampling will be completed by TCF staff

  9. Bioassessment 2019 Chemistry Analysis • 2018 & 2019 chemistry collections will be completed by Midwest Biodiversity staff with a boat and from bridges where available • MBI staff will coordinate with Microbac staff to pick-up samples • Microbac will perform analysis for regular chemistry collections • First Environmental Labs will analyze expanded nutrient parameters • ETP Labs will analyze Fecal Coliform • Approval needed for staff to negotiate contracts with all three labs up to a total of $78,000
