HRSA’s Reach • 26 million individuals were served in over 10,400 service delivery sites operated by the nearly 1,400 health centers funded by the Health Center Program in 2016. • 50 million women, infants, children, and adolescents benefit from HRSA’s maternal and child health programs. • Over 500,000 people living with HIV/AIDS receive services through more than 900 HRSA-funded Ryan White Clinics . Two-thirds are members of minority groups. • More than 10,400 National Health Service Corps clinicians are working in underserved areas, in exchange for loan repayment or scholarships. 2

How MCHB Addresses Behavioral Health MCHB programs promote the mental health & wellbeing of MCH populations across the child, and childbearing lifespan. We focus our efforts on multiple levels: the provider level, e.g., Healthy Start and Home Visiting the systems level, e.g., Title V MCH Block Grant and Clinical Guidelines the policy level, e.g., Supporting MCH Policy Innovation Pgm (MCH PIP) the workforce training level. e.g., Developmental Behavioral Peds and Collab Office Rounds 4
Collaborative Improvement & Innovation Network on School-Based Health Services (CoIIN-SBHS) A CoIIN uses strategies of quality improvement to achieve objectives. The CoIIN includes school-based health centers, & school mental health (MH) systems. CoIIN Goals pertinent to school MH systems Improve quality using a set of field-generated, consensus performance measures Improve sustainability & expand numbers using best business practices & constructive internal policies CoIIN made excellent progress during first 4 years ! New generation of program starts in Sept. 2018 Continues same goals & includes new foci 5
