Herts Disability Sports Hub Funding • £276 334 project for Hertfordshire • Including £139 369 of Sport England CSAF Funding Project focus • Providing activity for adults in HCC LD Day Services – Training of coaches in facilities – Developing appropriate sports based activities – Developing local opportunities in Year 2 & 3 – Training of day service staff
The confusing bit… CSAF funding was held by Welwyn Hatfield BC Employment of project officer through Herts Sport and Wellbeing Foundation (Herts Sports Partnership Charity) Officer line managed by WHBC and HSP Based at 2 local sports centres No one really knew who I was owned by!
Sustainability, sustainability, sustainability John’s favourite comments from the end of Year 1 of 3: We can’t let this come to an end!!! How are we making this sustainable? How much money do you need? What are you going to do after?
Charity was no longer needed by HSP Only staff employed through charity were ours No one wanted to employ me! Herts Sports and So easiest solution…. Wellbeing Foundation … give me the charity! Within a year we had 6 new trustees and a new name
