  22. College Entrance Requirements Category Units Requirements UNL English 4 All units must include intensive reading and writing experiences. Math 4 Algebra I, Algebra II and Geometry are required and one additional unit that builds on a knowledge of Algebra. ( i.e. Pre-Calc/Trig) Social 3 One unit drawn from American and/or World History; Sciences one additional unit drawn from History, American Government and/or Geography; and a third unit drawn from any social science discipline. Natural 3 At least two units selected from Biology, Chemistry, Sciences Physics, and Earth Sciences. One of the above units must include laboratory instruction. Foreign 2 Both units must be in the same language. Students who Language are unable to take two years of foreign language in high school may still qualify for admission.

NCAA Eligibility Center Division I 16 Total Core Units • 4 Units English • 3 units math (Algebra 1 or higher) • 2 units Natural/Physical Science (1 year of a Lab Science) • 1 unit additional English, Math, or Science • 2 units Social Science • 4 units additional core courses (any of the above areas plus foreign language)

  25. NCAA Eligibility Center Division I ■ Ten of the 16 core courses must be completed before the seventh semester (senior year) of high school ■ 7 of the 10 core courses must be in English, math, or science ■ Earn a core-course GPA of at least 2.300 ■ GPA & ACT placed on sliding scale

DIVISION II 2018 16 Core Courses 3 years of English. 2 years of mathematics (Algebra I or higher). 2 years of natural/physical science (1 year of lab if offered by high school). 3 years of additional English, mathematics or natural/physical science. 2 years of social science. 4 years of additional courses (from any area above, foreign language or comparative religion/philosophy).

Registration & Curriculum Guide ■ Registration Forms & Process • Read the Registration & Curriculum Guide course descriptions – select classes based on future career goals • Course choices should include English, Math, Science, Phys Ed, 4 elective choices and an alternate • Specific English, Math, and Science courses will be determined by a combination of assessments. (Aspire, NESA, NWEA, and the percent in the current class.
