Early College High School Early College High Schools (ECHS) are innovative high schools that allow students least likely to attend college an opportunity to earn a high school diploma and 60 college credit hours. Early College High Schools: provide dual credit at no cost to students offer rigorous instruction and accelerated courses provide academic and social support services to help students succeed increase college readiness, and reduce barriers to college access.

Foundation Coursework • English-4 credits: English I, II, III, and Eng. 4 or other advanced English class • Math- 4 credits: Algebra, Geometry, Algebra II or other advanced math course, and a math required by endorsement Science- 4 credits: Biology, IPC or Chemistry, Physics or other • advanced science course, and a science required by endorsement • Social Studies- 3 credits: World History, US History, Government/Economics • Foreign Language- 2 credits (Spanish at Everman HS) • Fine Arts- 1 credit • Physical Education- 1 credit • The remainder of credits are made up of elective credits from the student’s chosen endorsement for a total of 26 credits.
