FIRST PARISH MEMBERSHIP AND PLEDGING 101 ERIK BAILEY, STEWARDSHIP TEAM AND PAST TREASURER FEBRUARY 11, 2018
Why are we here tonight? (other than the pizza!!!) Per our Bylaws: “Membership in this Church is open to anyone sixteen years of age or over who subscribes to its purposes, contributes annually to its financial support, and signs the membership roll in the presence of an o ffi cer of the church. The financial requirement may be waived by the Parish Committee or its designee.” The Stewardship Team oversees the annual Pledge Drive process (and we secretly enjoy it!)
What about the Plate? The Plate is great! It is a way of giving to our church as well as other worthy organizations We moved to a 50/50 split a few years ago, and found that our portion did not go down! :) However, the Plate only contributes less than 3% of our annual income requirement!
