ESB Networks I-SEM Programme – IGG Action 1024 • As discussed at the last IGG we looked for your feedback around the 2 questions listed below We are considering drafting a new Market Trials WP12 to accommodate Participant GU registration changes being requested specifically for Market Trials Q1 Would you see any need for this , and would you use it We are considering drafting a new Market Trials WP14 purely as part of the Unscripted Market Trials to accommodate Non Participant Generator Arrangements changes being requested specifically for Market Trials Q2 Would you see any need for this , and would you use it Update 11.01.2017 ESBN received comments from Suppliers showing an interest in both. Therefore ESBN will raise a new DR to update both WP12 & WP14 and bring them to the May IGG / ReMCoWG. 4 esbnetworks.ie
Action 1024 – Further Information ESBN Response to a specific Supplier query - A Supplier may wish to participate in the I- SEM Project’s Market Trial. If that Supplier wants to have different De Minimis NPGEN arrangements reflected in the data that MRSO aggregate for Market Trials as against that which is aggregated as business as normal , then they will need a way to communicate that to the ESB Networks I-SEM programme team (WP14 is the mechanism for Production) The Supplier may want to have their Retail Market test EMMA hooked up to get the Retail Market Messages that will flow from the Market Trials test environment (viz 59x and 34x series of messages) If the Supplier needs a different WP12 arrangement for Participant Generators for the Market Trials than that which is catered for as business as normal, then they will need a way to communicate that to the ESB Networks I-SEM programme team (WP12 is the mechanism for Production) Based on Supplier feedback so far to IGG Action 1024, we are planning on bringing a DR to the Retail Market in Q2/2017 to allow for arrangements specifically for Market Trial, for each of WP12 & WP14 Therefore, when you are working through your Registration requirements for I- SEM project’s Market Trials you can consider the information above, and if you find you need to set up something different for Market Trials than what is in Live Production, you will be able to let us know and we will reflect these changes. 5 esbnetworks.ie
Action 1024 – Further Information ESBN Response to a specific Supplier query - Q - Can ESBN provide clarity as to whether they will be able to accommodate a situation whereby a Generation Unit is registered with one supplier in SEM but with another supplier in ISEM? Will the systems be able to accommodate the varying parties during the resettlement period until SEM is completely shut down? A - It will be possible to accommodate a situation whereby a Non Participant Generation Unit is registered with one supplier in SEM up until the final resettlement of the SEM and with another supplier in ISEM. 6 esbnetworks.ie
ESB Networks I-SEM Programme – Other Information ESBN Response to a specific Supplier query - Q - SEM-O have proposed that there would be a freeze on market registration for 3 months before ISEM go-live. Is it likely this freeze extend to the registration of export arrangements for Non Participant generators? A – This will not impact on the Non Participant generators as this is a retail market function and at the moment ring-fenced from any I-SEM changes. However if this was to change we would inform the retail market through the usual supplier forum, the IGG. 7 esbnetworks.ie
