  24. Engaging with data to empower ac1on Sunrise School Division “The regional parent-child coali2on re-allocated budget dollars to provide pre-school programming in an under-served community. EYE-Teacher Assessment(EYE-TA) results helped inform this decision. Schools used EYE-TA informa2on to build profiles to plan for suppor2ng students in Grade One. Even though ini2ally a teacher was not concerned about a specific child’s progress, the EYE-TA report highlighted an area where there was the opportunity for growth. This lead to the child receiving addi2onal support.”

  25. Engaging with data to empower ac1on Interlake School Division “We use the EYE-Teacher Assessment (EYE-TA) data to support progress conversa2ons with families of our Kindergarten children. The data conveys our areas of focus for teaching and learning and provides an opportunity for teachers, children, and families to build individualized plans for suppor2ng the youngest members of our school community.”

  26. Engaging with data to empower ac1on Southwest Horizon School Division “We need to gather informa2on about each child’s development to successfully plan for each learner. Southwest Horizon School Division implemented the EYE Direct Assessment (EYE-DA) and the EYE-Teacher Assessment (EYE-TA) in the 2014/15/16/17. Our focus is: • Iden2fying and mee2ng each child’s learning needs; • The data collected informs our educator’s plans for instruc2on and inform our parents about their child’s well-being and development; • Both instruments assist school teams when planning 2er 2 and 3 interven2ons. • We also u2lize the divisional data to set priori2es in early years programming.”

  27. Engaging with data to empower ac1on Evergreen School Division “Evergreen school division uses a variety of data to inform decision-making and instruc2on. We use the EYE-Direct Assessment (EYE-DA - pre-school instrument) to help iden2fy children’s areas of strength as well as areas where the child would benefit from further experiences. Our team looks at each child’s profile to ensure that we design instruc2on that will enhance each child’s specific learning needs. We also use the data from the EYE-DA to connect with other service providers to offer support based on the EYE-DA results. We meet with parents to share the child's EYE-DA results and provide the families with examples of what they can do at home to promote their child’s development. ”
