  4. Mystery and turmoil has surrounded the painting throughout history. The identity of the woman in • the painting is still a mystery. Some believe that it is the female form of Leonardo Da Vinci himself. Most popular belief is that the woman was Lisa Gherardini, who was 24- years-old and a mother of two sons.

  5. For your next assignment you are going to design your own Mona Lisa • You have creative freedom…but it must be an ORIGNIAL idea… • We want to have 20 or more different Mona’s to hang up.

  6. You will be given a handout to TRACE the shape of the original on….

  7. • This will help you get started with the original layout and you can tweak it to make it your own

  8. There are MANY different styles that you can use to make this assignment your own…. • You can use a CUBIST style….breaking her up into shapes…

  9. • Cartoon style….BUT…I do not want any words on your work.

  10. • You could keep her much the same but add your own color to her…

  11. • You don’t even have to paint her…she could be collaged right on there.

  12. IF you are not so good at doing FACES….what are some solutions to having to paint the face?

  13. • Add glasses or some other feature to make it easier on you!
