ACCOMMODATION AT ATLANTIC APARTOTEL DAY 2- IRELAND Donegal Town; O’Donnell Castle Student apartments, on-site lobby with free Wifi, and Abbey Leisure Center, classrooms & 51 Pub Lecture 1 From a Kingdom to a Colony. Field trip- O’Donnell Castle, an almost fully restored castle in the centre of Donegal Town and the Donegal Abbey that was constructed by the O’Donnell dynasty in the fiZeenth century
DAY 3- IRELAND Visit to Doagh Famine Village Lecture 2- ColonisaNon and Catastrophe Field trip to the Doagh Famine Village. A journey through Irish life from the 1840s to the present day.
DAY 4- IRELAND- TIME FOR SOME LOCAL ADVENTURE MORNING- Come for a beginner surf lesson with us on the Wild AtlanNc Way AFTERNOON- Horse Riding through the beach dunes, or enjoy a round of golf
DAY 5- IRELAND Sliabh Liag Cliffs & Killybegs Lecture 3 – The Irish in America Visit to Sliabh Liag (Slieve League) to see some of the highest cliffs on the island of Ireland.
DAY 6- NORTHERN IRELAND- FROM CONFLICT TO PEACE Walking tour of the murals of the Bogside. Derry City walls. ExhibiNon of the PlantaNon of Ulster at the Guildhall.
