COVID -19: Closure Update May 1 - All schools ordered closed for the duration of the academic year ● Schools to continue to: ○ provide virtual instruction - Required to resubmit our ■ Instructional Plan to NYS Provide meals to students (breakfast and lunch) - currently ■ serving approximately 100 breakfast and 100 lunches per day In addition: ○ Planning of transitional events (Incoming K, Grade 6 & 8) ■ Class of 2020 - (senior recognition, Honors/Awards, ■ Graduation, etc.)
COVID -19: School Budget Vote & Elections May 1 Executive Order - State wide school budget vote & elections date ● identified as June 9, 2020. Highlights include: ⬛ By absentee ballot only - no in person votes ■ Condensed timeline to meet requirements ■ Candidates do not need petition with signatures ■ Postcard mailing ■
COVID -19: Budget Vote Timeline May 11 Deadline for candidates to file nominations May 12 First of two legal notices due May 15 Financial information expected from NYS Division of Budget May 19 Schodack CSD BOE adopts budget May 21 Deadline for school boards to adopt budget May 22 Property Tax Report Card due May 26 Budget made available to public and on website June 2 Schodack CSD Public Budget Hearing 6:00pm June 3 Last day to mail budget newsletter June 9 Mail in absentee ballots must be received by 5:00pm June 9 or 10 Schodack CSD BOE meeting to accept results
