  3. AFJROTC Mission C/Col Frazier MISSION “Develop citizens of character dedicated to serving their nation and community.” CADET HONOR CODE “I will not lie, steal or cheat, nor will I tolerate those who do.”

Team Goals C/Col Frazier ➢ Cadet Impact Goals : – Unit will conduct at least four fundraising events throughout the year – The Corps will conduct at least four flag raising ceremonies throughout the year ➢ School Impact Goals: – The unit will complete at least five APTs throughout the year – At least 70% of the cadets will participate in at least one co- curricular activity ➢ Community Impact Goals: – At a minimum, the unit will conduct four community service events involving at least 25 cadets – Unit will complete at least 2,600 hours of community service

Training Priorities C/Col Takehara  First Year Improvement:  Stress importance of proper uniform wear and good grades  Motivated them to participate in community service  Encouraged them to join our award-winning Drill Team and Sabre Team  Enlisted Soph/Jr Improvement:  Put them in leadership positions at community service events  Gave them color guard opportunities at District board meetings, Diamondbacks games, NHS induction ceremonies

Training Priorities C/Col Takehara  How We Improved Our Officers:  Assigned them specific jobs such as logistics, historian, public affairs, etc.  Each officer was required to report their progress at bi-monthly staff meetings  Held officers to a higher standard of uniform wear as an example to underclassmen.  Encouraged Officers to serve as mentors across campus to correct and teach underclassmen in regards to respect and professionalism

Community Service C/Col Takehara ➢ Exceeded Goal: 2,600 hours ➢ Current total: 4,449 hours ➢ 107 events: DVHS Sports, Care Packages to Deployed Troops, Color Guards, Parades, Ben Avery Rodeo, Monthly DVHS clean-up, Operation Mail Call, Parent Teacher Conferences, Science Dept Habitat Preserve, etc… ➢ Large team turn out events averaged close to 40 not including monthly clean- ups.
