Privacy of Student Records Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA) Federal law that protects educational records of any person enrolled in Post-Secondary education (regardless of age). Accessing My Tri-C Space Go to My Tri-C Space: www.my.tri-c.edu Click on change your password Enter your Tri-C Id number (S00000000) then click continue Enter your birthday date (mm/dd/yyyy) as your old password (no leading zeros- ex: 6/8/2000 Create a new password (at least 8 characters) containing a combination of letters and numbers-ex: fluffy1 Re-enter new password and click change You will be redirected to my Tri-C Space, secure access log in Log in to My Tri-C Space using your Tri-C ID number (S00000000)
Accessing your Tri-C email Access your Tri-C email by signing into my Tri-C space and then clicking on the student or newstudent tab on the left The student email icon will appear Click on the s tudent email icon. Type your full S number @acad.tri- c.edu as your email address-ex: S00000000@acad.tri-c.edu Use your My Tri-C Space password to log in If it is your first time logging in, select the “Eastern Time/US & Canada” time zone You will then be directed to your inbox

Ordering Textbooks To order textbooks, CCP students must be registered. Textbooks cannot ordered sooner than 10 days prior to the start of a term. 1.Go to cuyahoga.bncollege.com. 2.Go to the T extbooks tab (top left corner) and click “Find textbooks.” Select the following course information from the drop-down boxes: campus, term, department, course number. 3.Add more courses as needed. 4.Click “Find Materials” at the bottom of the screen. 5.Choose “Buy used” or “Buy new.” Do not select the rental option unless it’s the only option available. 6.Add the item(s) to your cart. 7.Continue to checkout. (Y ou can create an account or check out as a guest.) 8.Select “Ship to my address.” (Shipping is free.) 9.For payment method, choose CCP/VA/Third Party. 10.Under the CCP option, enter your name and student ID number. 11.Review your order, then click “Place Order.” You w ill receive tw o emails ― one w hen your order is confirmed and another w hen your order is shipped .
Textbooks If book allowance does not cover required costs, estimate the remaining cost of your other books and supplies and email CCP coordinator to have your account increased Use the book – highlight, underline – this is your book to use for the duration of the class Lost or stolen books – student is responsible for the cost of replacement You are responsible for correct book purchases-save all receipts and don’t open any shrink-wrapped books until you know you will be using them in your class.
Textbooks Special note for homeschooled students: books are the responsibility of the student/parent but supplies (other than paper, pens, etc) will be covered- student will need to submit supply reimbursement form found on the CCP page No book account will be set up for homeschooled students- they can purchase books through the bookstore or on their own (unless you have a Homeschool Agreement set up with Tri-C). Returning Textbooks Check with your middle/high school for their book return policy Books will not need to be returned to the CCP office Note : Supplies such as calculators, I-clickers, or specialty supplies for programs such as Hospitality Management, that are purchased under the CCP program are the property of the college and must be returned to your CCP coordinator after finals.
Drop/Add Classes Be aware of withdrawal deadlines. CCP students can drop through the 14 th day of each session without penalty. Withdrawal form can be obtained at www.tri-c.edu/college-credit-plus under the Important Forms within the Students and Parents button and must be signed by parent, middle/high school counselor, and Tri-C Representative Middle/High school may charge you the full cost of the course if dropped after the 14 th day. There are implications of dropping a class you need as a high school requirement You can only add a class that has not yet met-email your CCP coordinator for help
Grades & Transcripts Report cards are not sent home. Final and mid-term grades are found in My Tri-C Space on the Student tab. Middle/High schools are sent Tri-C grades for CCP students at the end of each semester. Students must order transcripts to be sent to other colleges and universities and are $5.00 per copy. Transcripts can be ordered at tri-c.edu/transcripts.
CCP Probation State of Ohio rules regarding CCP student probation and dismissal When a student receives lower than a 2.0 GPA in their college courses OR Withdraws from two or more courses in the same semester past the 14 th day When on CCP probation the student cannot enroll in more than one college course for the next semester If the student received a “D” or “F” in a course, they cannot take any course in that subject while on CCP probation
CCP Dismissal CCP dismissal will occur when a student is on CCP probation for two semesters CCP dismissal prohibits a student from enrolling in college courses for the following academic semester After one semester of dismissal, the student can appeal to their middle/high school to once again participate in CCP
