January 10, 2012 Schools to Watch Process • Submission of a 100 page application. • Extensive review and scrutiny of the four domains (academic excellence, developmental responsiveness, social equity, and organization structures and processes). • Visitations included interviews with students, parents, staff, middle school administrators, elementary principals, high school principal, central office administrators and BOE members and classroom observations. • Weber was found to be a model of excellence: putting proven research into best practice. • Weber is one of only 18 middle schools in NYS to ever earn the designation. • Weber is one of only 300 middle schools nationwide to ever earn the designation.
