Introduction The purpose of the ASRIC website is to develop a valuable set of information that provides scholars in Africa and the Diaspora with information on ASRIC. This website will also serve as a local social environment that allows for scholars in Africa and the Diaspora to discuss about priority areas related to ASRIC’s mandate

SITE MAP The site map includes the following: • Home Page – an introduction, mandate, functions, partners and other information • Who We Are – Search Engine optimized pages providing information • Activities – page for information on projects/activities implemented by the ASRIC

IMPLEMENTATION PHASES Phase 1 • Register your domain name • Design of site theme, look and feel, template selection, etc. • Finalization of site map, site layout, and final preparations for construction • Review and approval •

IMPLEMENTATION PHASES Phase 2 • Receive content for the home page, any photographs to include, affiliate link information for inclusion in webpages • Incorporation of ASRIC material into the website including creating your final Sitemap, Contact Us and web pages, and the other pages necessary • Optimize all of the pages for search engine positioning inclusion methods into your website. • Build links to appropriate partner websites • Test all links, forms and email addresses to make sure that they all work effectively • Launch the website

Recommendations • The Bureau endorses the ASRIC logo and website and request the Secretariat to register the logo and further urge the Secretariat to launch the website before mid of April 2019. • The secretariat to ensure the timely updating of the website • The Bureau recognize the development so far on the implementation of the African Union Network of Sciences (AUNS) and urge the secretariat to expedite its implementation. Meanwhile, the secretariat should identify a web sharing platform to ensure to exchange between committee members.
