  3. OUR PURPOSE STATEMENT Bear Creek Middle School will commit to delivering meaningful lessons that engage students and push them beyond their academic limits. These learning opportunities will prove to increase academic achievement outcomes for all learners. We will mold students who are college and career ready as well as prepared to make an impact globally. We own that the future of our community rests on the successes of our students and efforts.

What does Title I mean? • BCMS participates in the Title I, Part A, Section 1116 of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) School-wide program . • Under the program, you have the Parent’s Right to Know the certification status of our teachers. All teachers teaching a core academic class are professionally qualified. • We are provided federal funding to ensure all students have the opportunity and innovative resources, to meet or exceed state, local, and national assessment expectations. • Title I funding impacts each and every student at BCMS by reducing class size and funding professional development.

  7. Who does our Title I benefit? Who receives resources? • Every student at BCMS benefits from Title I funding, resources. and our school- wide plan. • All families are welcome to use the resources in our Parent Resource Center and attend our Parent University Workshops. The Parent Resource Center is located in room 175.

How may we use Title I funding to impact all students? • Implement academic support programs • Provide resources from the Parent Resource Center • Provide Professional Development • Purchase additional teachers and paraprofessionals • Purchase Data Support Specialist and Instructional Coaches • Purchase Parent Liaison
