Our total budget from Title I is $300,000. We spend the money in the following ways. • Reduced class sizes • Instructional coaches • Resources and materials for students and teachers • Professional development for teachers • Parent resources and materials

Gullatt's Academic Goals • 90% of faculty and staff with less than 5 days absent • 90% of students missing less than 10% of school • Suspension rate lower than 40%. • 150 active PTA members and 2 PTA sponsored fundraisers • 65% developing or higher in ELA • 70% developing or higher in Math • 65% developing or higher in Science • 65% developing or higher in Social Studies

  8. What is required by law for Parent and Family Engagement? The Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) states that all Title I schools must jointly develop, with parents and family members, a written parent and family engagement plan. District - The Every Student Succeeds Act provides supplemental funding to local school districts and requires that these funds be used to implement family engagement programs in each of its Title I schools. School- Our school is required, through the use of parent input, to jointly develop a written parent and family engagement plan that describes how we will provide opportunities to improve family engagement to support student learning. The plan must be distributed to all families prior to November 1, 2018.

What is the School Family Compact The School-Family compact is a written commitment describing how all members of a school community (parents/family members, staff, and students) agree to share responsibility for student learning. This compact helps bridge the learning connection between school and home.

  10. Does my child's teacher meet professional qualifications? Parents have the right to know whether or not their child's teacher is highly qualified. In the event, your child's teacher is non highly qualified, you will receive a letter.

  11. How is Title I Parent and Family Engagement money spent? A minimum of 1% of the total budget must be spent on parent and family engagement. This year money will be spent to update the parent resource room.
