Activity: Read the following paragraph and in your groups discuss what the underlined words and phrases have in common and why are they used: ‘The most recent research appears to confirm that reducing meat consumption to within current guidelines could reduce CO2 emissions by approximately 30% . It has been suggested that government agencies should actively promote this reduction. Such actions might have significant impact on the UK greenhouse emissions target as well as population health.’
