  1. ACADEMIC SESSION 2019-2020 CLASS I CLASS PRESENTATION ‘ Indian festivals are a unique expression of thespirit of celebration ’ We all know that India is a land of festivals. Throughout the year we celebrate various festivals. Festivals strengthen the bond of friendship and relationship and promote social interaction and harmony. Class presentations were held by Class I on 19 th February, 2020 and they showcased the diversity of India through the various festivals. The theme of the presentation was –‘FESTIVALS OF INDIA’ I A TOPIC-HOLI „Holi‟ was the festival taken by the students of Class I A .The class was well decorated and the students informed the audience about all the facts related to the topic. They told that it is celebrated in the month of Phagun on the full moon day. They sang a song which was followed by a dance performance.. It was highly appreciated by the parents.

  2. I B TOPIC- FESTIVALS OF PUNJAB Class IB did the presentation on Festivals ofPunjab. Children spoke aboutGurupurab and Baisakhi.Gurupurabs are very auspicious and important celebrations for Sikhs. Children spoke about the teachings of Guru Nanakji and recited “EkOnkar”. Baisakhi is the harvest festival celebrated with much gusto in Punjab. To mark this festive occasion students performed „B ha ngra‟.

  3. I C TOPIC- EID The students of Class I C gave a presentation on Eid, the festival of joy and brotherhood. The children offered prayer.They spoke about the significance of this festival and informed the audience that it is celebrated by offering prayers, wearing new clothes, wishing and hugging each other and preparing special dishes.To mark this joyous occasion, they gave a dance performance.

  4. I D TOPIC- CHRISTMAS The students of Class I Dcelebrated Christmas. Through the nativity play the students made the audience aware of the story of birth of the Lord Jesus Christ and how three wise men brought gifts for the little Jesus who was born in a stable in Bethlehem on 25 th December. They mesmerized the audience by singing carols like “Joy to the World”, “We three kings” and “Jingle Bells”. The presentat ion concluded with a ballroom dance.

  5. I E TOPIC – NATIONAL FESTIVALS OF INDIA The students of Class I E gave a presentation on the topic „National Festivals Of India‟. The students spoke about the importance of the three National festivals of India – Independence Day, Republic Day and Gandhi Jayanti. They remembered some freedom fighters and their slogans.They sang the song „Hum HongeKamyab‟. They danced on the beats of two songs- „Suno Gaur Se DuniyaWalo‟and „YehDeshHai Veer JawanonKa remix‟

  6. I F TOPIC- DIWALI I Fcelebrated the festival of Diwali —also known as “Festival of Lights”. Diwali is associated with the return of Lord Rama along with Sita and Laxman to Ayodhya after fourteen years of exile. Students decorated their classroom with festoons and made Rangoli. Through a short enactment they showcased how Diwali is celebrated. Children performed Lakshmi Pooja also. Highlight of the presentation was a lively performance by the children to mark this joyous occasion.
