Office 365 for nonprofits It solved so many IT challenges for us. It enabled us to easily manage and control our email / users without having to hire an IT support staff that we simply can not afford…our system was unreliable and required constant trouble shooting. Microsoft Silicon Valley 2014 YouthSpark Grants Program
Program Framework Support local efforts to empower youth with 1 technology 2 Create forum for discussion, thought leadership Opportunity for deeper partnerships 3 Leverage Microsoft resources to support local 4 nonprofits
Program Details Financial Support • $30K over two years • General Operating support • Grant from Microsoft Youth Impact Fund, a fund of SVCF, awarded to each organization in the cohort Cohort Structure • Organizations form own cohorts of 3 – 5 organizations • Organizations can apply as part of up to 3 cohorts; only one cohort will be awarded funding • Chosen cohort will meet 3 times per year over two years Organization Eligibility • Offer programming to youth in Santa Clara and/or San Mateo counties • Align with YouthSpark priorities • Able and willing to participate in cohort meetings • 501c3 Public Charity
