  4.  Over 20 years experience of school visits  Local Authority approved activity provider  Beautiful site – especially in Spring!

  5.  Arrive at school in casual clothes on Monday 9th May with bag/suitcase – store in allocated room  Bring a packed lunch  Leave school by 9.30 am  Arrive at Centre  Activities – 2 x activities on Monday, 5 x activities on Tuesday, 1 x activity on Wednesday  Arrive back on Wednesday 11 th May at approx. 2.30 pm  Please collect from school at 2.30 or end of the school day

  6.  6 instructor led activities including river dipping, shelter building, orienteering, and Norfolk wildlife encounters,  Evening activities – led by teachers & 2 activities instructor led – weather depending – bonfire & bat walk

  7. Relaxation Time  We are one of two schools at Whitwell Hall during our visit, however we are the only school camping and therefore we should be able to spread out and enjoy the camping grounds during breaks and of an evening.

  8.  Sleep in tents of 4-6 children  Separate Boys and Girls tents (Opposite sides of camping area)  Sleeping bag (quilt) and ground mat  Staff sleep in separate tents to children.  Male and Female outdoor shower and toilet block

  9.  You need to supply a packed lunch on the first day  All other food is provided.  Breakfast is cereal, toast, fruit and yoghurt.  Lunches – children help make this themselves each morning.  Hot dinner in evenings  No food to be brought by children

  10.  Local authority approved provider  All risk assessments are on the Whitwell Hall website – www.whitwellhall.org  All instructors CRB checked  Ratio of staff to children - 2:15 (1 AJS Staff and 1 Instructor)  Senior teacher present throughout the visit  First Aiders – all our staff & centre staff  Insurance

  11.  Kit list  Plasti Plastic plate, bowl and cutlery (new on th c plate, bowl and cutlery (new on the list!) e list!)  It may still be chilly (especially evenings) – layer up  Plenty of socks  Trainers/Outdoor Boots & Wellies (essential for river dipping)  Jeans can be difficult to dry out  Bin liner for dirty washing  Children to help you pack so they know what to repack  Teddy (small!) & book if they want to read  1 large holdall or small suitcase & back pack

  12.  No mobile phones  No Ipods, MP3 players, games consoles etc  No jewellery except watches/studs  No expensive cameras  No money – There’s no gift shop.

  13.  We know and understand you may be anxious  Updates on the website and twitter  If there is a problem we will ring you/children overly upset  Behaviour alert – if a child’s behaviour is not acceptable and/or disrupts the experience for others, parents will be asked to collect their child

  14.  All forms must be returned by Friday 15 th April if you have not already done so.  Any worries come and talk to the Staff.  If your child requires any medication, a medicines form needs to be completed and medicine (including inhalers) brought in before before the visit.  They will have a great time!
