VISION OF RK OLIMPIJA Vision of the RK Olimpija is to demonstrate and prove that it is possible to play and act as a modern European club with our own handball school with developed team selection practice and with professional and realistic financial strategy, primarily on the basis of love and desire to play handball. Handball is more than a sport or a word from the eight letters. It is the game to which you are commited every day of your life, it is way of living. When you loose don ’ t hang down your head but try harder next time. Never ask could we have played better. Always play as it is your last game and leave the heart on the playground.
HISTORY OF RK OLIMPIJA • 66 years – since 1949 • Winner of Euro Cup EHF in 1997 • First club in Slovenia with European trophy Silvana Ilic, Urša Nadižar, Nataša Bertok, Jasmina Tusek, Marjeta Veber Marton, Anja Frešer, Mežek, Kurent, Mira Miloševič, Irma Legat in Inna Beguš Dolgun • Wrong and inefficient management policy between 2008 and 2013 led club to the eage of collapse • 2013 disbanded senior and youth team • 2014 Extraordinary Assembly and new leadership

RK OLIMPIJA TODAY • In the year 2014 club lead by couple of enthusiasts • We have 90 players, 6 teams from 10 to 19 years • 120 young girls in mini handball from 7 to 10 years • Nearly all debts from the past are paid • We promote sport and sport lifestyle: for development and education of youth o for socialization of youth o to achieve top sport results o

RK OLIMPIJA TOMORROW • Ensure stable operation of both the professional as well as in the financial sector • Provide conditions for the further development of young players • Enforce handball school in Ljubljana elementary schools • From actresses grown in the club re-establish senior team in the season 2016/17 • Qualify for First division in the season 2017/18 • Team must be based on players grown in Olimpija • Fight for the top in the National Championships
INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION • Regular participation on tournaments with youth teams – Makarska , Croatia (June); Beograd, Serbia (December)
INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION • Cooperation with the clubs in neighboring countries – Italy, Austria, Croatia, Hungary • Establish regional women handball competition • Cooperation with strong clubs in Europe to improve our handball school and establish better start position for our top players in the future • Cooperation with the clubs in non developed countries in handball in order to promote and develop women’s handball
